Honda ATC 250 1981-1987 All Models Service Workshop Manual

A fully detailed workshop manual for this eighties classic trike in both utility and sports guise. Perfect for general servicing and maintenance but exhaustive enough for a complete engine and transmission restoration. It also has good troubleshooting sections to help with the usual issues that come with owning a trike of this age where problems are 9 times out of 10 caused by fueling or electrical problems, this can be as simple as cleaning the carb and replacing the fuel filter (it is always prudent to check the inside of the tank for rust deposits). As for electrical problems most can be ruled out by checking continuity, even with a budget multi-meter faults can be picked up in no time. Another issue with the 250 centres around the transmission not selecting gear or even stuck in gear and sometimes this can be cured by removing the case cover and cleaning off over 30 years of muck from the inside. Another good bet is to check the reverse cable is moving freely as if its gummed up it may ever so slightly be holding on causing a gear selection problem. It is also known that some of the problems can be of a more serious nature involving a broken shaft or shift fork etc. With the pictures in the manual for reference its easy enough to discount what looks right and what doesn’t.
